A real-world problem technology could solve right now, but isn’t, is private contributions to the electrical grid. The world doesn’t need any more power plants. There is more than enough surface area on rooftops, all across the world, to create a much more cost-effective and efficient electrical grid. The problem is residential power generation systems are priced out of reach for most people.
