Product movement analytics can be very useful. The path items take through the store—from the delivery truck to the front door after a sale—could tell retailers a lot. The data collected could show retailers where customers spend their time, what customers cross-shop for and even how decisions are made. This data would aid in valuing shelf space, building more effective planograms and even reducing shrink.
