All over the world, people complain about AT&T’s phone service. Thousands of people complaining about service, can’t be wrong!
Due to a deal with Apple, for exclusive rights to the iPhone, AT&T customers tolerate the poor service, just to be able to have the coolest phone.
In my opinion, AT&T’s exclusive rights to the iPhone is the only reason they are still a major player in the cellular industry. Yes, I believe the iPhone is that popular.
However, things are about to change.
Today, Lowell McAdam, the president of Verizon Wireless confirmed Verizon’s CDMA version of Apple’s iPhone.
Today we’re partnering with a giant of the industry, and that’s Apple.
People can now have the beloved iPhone and not suffer with the problematic AT&T network. This means previously unhappy AT&T iPhone customers can now switch to an iPhone on Verizon.
Just how many people will stay with AT&T? People with a need for cell service across the world will most likely stay with AT&T. Obviously, those AT&T customers still under contract, may be forced to stay. Other than that, I would guess a large portion of the remaining AT&T iPhone customers will jump ship.
So, will AT&T Stocks Fall due to Verizon’s new iPhone? I’m not stock broker, but wouldn’t falling stock prices be expected if a volume of customers leave AT&T?
I’m not an AT&T customer. I tried Cingular out right as AT&T was taking over. The service was so bad, I’m unwilling to try it again.
However, I am one of those people who would already own an iPhone if Verizon had it before now. My wife and I are due to renew our contracts at any time. We both currently have the BlackBerry Tour and will be trading up for the iPhone.
As to whether or not we’ll be in the on-hold que to pre-order the Verizon iphone on February 3rd or even standing in line on February 10th, I highly doubt it. Nothing is that good.
